NEW YORK, NY (JANUARY 29, 2026) - COPA90, the world’s leading fan-first soccer media company, has announced that Simon Joyce has relocated to the United States, where he will serve as Chief Business Officer and President, Americas.
Joyce, who will lead the company’s commercial strategy and growth across North America, has spent more than eight years in senior leadership roles at COPA90. During his tenure, he has overseen and executed major global brand relationships with PepsiCo, EA Sports, AB InBev, adidas, Premier League, TikTok and has been recognized as a Leaders Under 40 honoree for his impact in the sports business industry.
From COPA90’s New York offices, Joyce will work closely with brands, rights holders and platforms to scale the company’s fan-first, creator-led approach to soccer storytelling, while continuing to oversee global commercial strategy.
Joyce’s relocation reflects COPA90’s commitment to North America as the region enters a defining era for the sport ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. A central pillar of COPA90’s growth in the region has been The Best Job in the World, a creator-led initiative designed to uncover and develop the next generation of soccer storytellers across the U.S., Canada and Mexico. The program attracted thousands of applicants and is widely viewed as a blueprint for how soccer stories will be told in the build-up to and beyond the World Cup.
“Being based in our U.S. offices allows for greater proximity to our incredible roster of brand partners, and closer integration with the next generation of creators and communities at this pivotal moment for soccer culture in North America,” said Joyce. “Our focus is on building a long-term, creator-led model that truly reflects how the game is lived. COPA90 gives a platform to the voices and brands who don’t just want to reach fans, but forge lasting and authentic relationships with them.”
COPA90 is focused on telling the stories beyond the 90 minutes, which explore the culture, community, identity, and fans that shape the game around the world. COPA90 works with creators embedded in soccer culture to tell authentic, culturally relevant stories that resonate with modern audiences. The company’s philosophy is simple: creators aren’t the future of sports media, they’re the present.

ABOUT COPA90
COPA90 is a world-class fan-first soccer media company. We tell authentic, impactful stories that matter. There's the game and then there's everything around it – the color and conversation beyond the 90 minutes. That's our field, that's where we play.
In North America, that field is a vibrant, fragmented patchwork of diverse cultures and experiences. The American soccer experience isn't singular – it's a poly-cultural tapestry that creates a unique expression of the world's game.
While traditional media sees fragmentation as a challenge, we see opportunity. We rise above the noise to connect the disconnected with storytelling that resonates regardless of team, game format, or national shirt.
COPA90 has been pioneering fan engagement since 2012 with content and experiences that win hearts as well as awards. While broadcasters point cameras at stars on pristine turf, we put ours in the hands of creators across the continent – building meaningful connections that cut across diverse soccer cultures. We believe that as the way fans consume soccer evolves, so too must the ways we connect with them.
This is COPA90. Fans First. Always.
